About Fiona
(She / Her)
General Psychologist - Adults
I am so passionate about helping people live their best, most authentic lives by rediscovering, reclaiming and fully embodying who they really are.
I believe that the more we come into alignment with our authentic selves, the more joy, harmony and life satisfaction is available to us.
From the early stages of my career, after being on my own healing journey for many years before that, I knew that working with the mind alone wasn’t enough. I was noticing my clients saying the same thing I had also been wondering for years – why isn’t awareness enough to create lasting change? Why do we have breakthroughs and then feel like we’re back at square one?
The answer is this; often, we need change to happen at the level of our identity. That means we need to access subconscious material and transform deeply held patterns in the nervous system. If we haven’t reached that level of transformation, it just means we have to go deeper.
As a dancer, from 3 years of age and a passionate yogi for many years before becoming a psychologist, I felt intuitively that the body held the answers that I and my clients were seeking. This led me to pursuing support and training in somatic therapy and integrating the body into therapy to access those deep patterns and help the nervous system truly heal.
Somatic therapy offers a very gentle, yet powerful way to access and shift our subconscious patterns, and resolve unhealed trauma without needing conscious access to memories, and without needing to re-live painful experiences.
Your nervous system can change but it needs the right tools, the right environment and you need to be ready to do this work.
I’d love to support you if you feel this is the next step in your healing journey.
